The Wind and the Sun

Bu yazımızda, “Rüzgar ile Güneş” olarak bildiğimiz “The Wind and the Sun” hikayesinin basit bir sürümünü derledik.

One day, the Wind and the Sun were talking in the sky. The Wind said, “I am stronger than you!” The Sun smiled and said, “No, I think I am stronger than you!”

Just then, they saw a man walking on the road below. He was wearing a big coat. The Wind had an idea. “Let’s see who can make the man take off his coat,” he said.

The Wind went first. He started to blow very hard. The man on the road felt the cold wind. He pulled his coat around him tightly.

The Wind blew harder and harder. But the harder he blew, the tighter the man held his coat. The Wind could not make the man take off his coat.

Now, it was the Sun’s turn. The Sun started shining warmly. Slowly, the man on the road felt warmer and warmer.

Finally, the man felt so hot that he took off his coat.
