İngilizcede would rather Kullanımı
İngilizcede “would rather“, tercih ifadelerini anlatırken kullanılmaktadır. Ayrıca “would rather” yapısına alternatif olarak “would sooner“, “had rather” ve “had sooner” kalıpları da kullanılabilir.
İngilizcede “Would rather”
İlk olarak aşağıdaki tabloda gösterilen olumlu, olumsuz ve soru cümleleri içindeki kullanımını inceleyiniz:

❗ İngilizcede would, “Silent L” harfine sahip olduğundan l harfi telaffuz edilmez. Dolayısıyla /vud/ şeklinde telaffuz edilmelidir.

⭐ İngilizcede “would rather”, cümlede perfect tense içeren bir kiple kullanıldığında gerçeğe aykırı bir geçmiş zaman ifade edilir.
