The Two Goats
Bu yazımızda, “İki inatçı keçi” olarak bildiğimiz “The Two Goats” hikayesinin basit bir sürümünü derledik.
Two goats lived on opposite sides of a river. There was a narrow bridge to cross the river, but only one goat could walk on it at a time.
One day, both goats wanted to cross the bridge at the same time. One goat started walking on the bridge. At the same time, the other goat did too. When they met in the middle, neither goat wanted to move back. They both thought, “I should go first!”
They tried to push each other, hoping the other would give up. But neither goat gave in. They both were very stubborn.
Then, a local bird, known for its wisdom, landed on the bridge’s railing and said, “Why not back up a step, take turns, and both enjoy the other side?” But the goats, locked in their determination, ignored the bird’s words.
Finally, they pushed so hard that they both fell into the river below. They realized too late the cost of their stubbornes.
🇺🇸 Stubbornness isn’t always the best solution; compromise can prevent both sides from losing.
🇹🇷 İnatçılık her zaman en iyi çözüm değildir; uzlaşmak her iki tarafın da kaybetmesini önleyebilir.
