The Grasshopper and the Ant
Bu yazımızda, “Ağustos Böceği ve Karınca” olarak bildiğimiz “The Grasshopper and the Ant” hikayesinin basit bir sürümünü derledik.
Once, there was a happy grasshopper. He loved to sing all day. Summer was warm and nice. He didn’t worry about food.
Next door, there was an ant. She worked hard. Every day, she carried food. She was preparing for winter.
One day, the winter came. The grasshopper was hungry and cold. He had no food. He looked at the ant’s house.
He knocked on the ant’s door. “Can I have some food?” he asked. The ant looked at him. She remembered the summer.
“You sang all summer,” she said. “I worked. Now, I have food. What did you do?”
The grasshopper was sad. “I only sang,” he replied.
“Then dance now!” said the ant.
