The Dove and the Ant
Bu yazımızda, “Güvercin ve Karınca” masalının yani, “The Dove and the Ant” hikayesinin basit bir sürümünü derledik.
Once, in a sunny meadow, a Dove was drinking water by a stream. The world seemed calm and quiet.
Nearby, an Ant was walking. She lost her balance and fell into the water. She tried to swim, but the water was too strong. “Help! Help!” she cried.
The Dove saw the Ant and wanted to help. She picked up a small leaf and dropped it near the Ant. The Ant climbed onto the leaf and was safe again. “Thank you, kind Dove!” said the Ant.
Later, as the Dove was perched on a branch, a hunter sneaked up with a gun, aiming at the unsuspecting bird. The Ant noticed the danger and bit the Hunter on his bare foot.
The little Ant had repaid her debt, proving that no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
