The City Mouse and the Country Mouse

Bu yazımızda, “Şehirli fare ile taşralı fare” olarak bildiğimiz “The City Mouse and the Country Mouse” hikayesinin basit bir sürümünü derledik.

One day, City Mouse went to visit her cousin, Country Mouse. The Country Mouse lived in a quiet place. Her home was small, but it was warm and comfortable.

The Country Mouse served simple food like grains and water for lunch. The City Mouse ate just a little, trying to be polite.

Meanwhile, the City Mouse talked and talked about her life in the busy city. She spoke of tasty foods, big buildings, and bright lights.

The Country Mouse became curious and wanted to see it. So, when the City Mouse invited her, she quickly agreed.

They went to the city and entered the City Mouse’s house. There, the Country Mouse saw a big table with lots of tasty food. There were cheeses, jellies, and pastries. Just as she was about to eat, a big cat meowed loudly. The two mice ran and hid. They were very scared.

After the cat left, they tried to eat again. But this time, a large dog entered.

The Country Mouse realized that city life was full of dangers. She told the City Mouse, “City life is not for me. I prefer my quiet and safe home in country.”
