Lily and the Lost Bird

Lily had a beautiful yellow budgie named Sunny. She loved Sunny very much. Every morning, Lily would clean Sunny’s cage and give him fresh food and water. One afternoon, Lily opened the window to let fresh air in, but she forgot to close it. When she returned to the room, Sunny was gone. Lily looked around and called, “Sunny! Sunny!” but the little bird had flown away.

Lily ran outside and searched the garden. She looked in the trees and bushes, but Sunny was nowhere to be found. Lily felt very sad. She sat on the grass and started crying. “I hope Sunny is safe,” she thought. Lily closed her eyes and prayed. “Please let Sunny find a nice place and be happy. I don’t want him to get hurt.”

That evening, Lily sat by the window and thought about Sunny. She missed him but felt a little better knowing she had prayed for him. The next day, she saw a group of small birds flying in the sky. Lily smiled and said, “Maybe Sunny is with them, flying free and happy.” Even though she was sad, she hoped Sunny was safe and enjoying his new adventure.
